New Space!

We're always thinking of ways we can improve the service we provide to young people. Lately we've become aware of how the environment here can be a bit intense for neurodivergent young people. There's a lot of noise, busy-ness, and not room to escape when it gets too much.
The staff team have been thinking of ways we can help with this all through 2025. We've put up blob charts to help young people express if they're struggling, an introduction walkthrough for the centre on the website (here), we have a new punching bag and boxing machine to help get out some pent up aggression more positively, and some mood lighting in the green room.
But for 2026, we've made the biggest change yet. We've moved the staff office upstairs into the disused Studio room, and created a new lounge/snug!
We'll be asking young people what they want from the space, how they want it decorated, and what should or shouldn't be in there. Our new Wednesday youth volunteer will be pulling all this together and actioning the project so watch this space for developments!
What should we do with the new lounge / snug
