Residentials:

Updated: May 7

Over the last couple of years we've ran some amazing overnight residential trips for young people. This year will be no different with two in the planning! One all about the skating and another heading to an outdoor pursuits centre with some other youth centres from the area.

The first (the skate one) will be from the 5th to 7th of July. Our skate committee wanted to head to Cornwall, and to keep the costs down we will be camping! eek.

We plan to stay right behind Mount Hawke indoor skatepark, one of the longest running indoors in the UK and has over 24'000 sq ft of ramps, pools, crete and wood! Each day we'll head out to some other amazing parks too. Think Concrete Waves, and St Ives and you're thinking right!

The campsite is basic but has electric hookup, toilets and showers, Tents will be provided, but young people need to be ready for a bit of roughing it lol. They'll need to bring a sleeping bag (and mat/airbed), Clothes, toiletries, skateboards and snacks.

We'll sort the meals so if you have any dietary requirements please let us know.

Date: 5th - 7th July

Cost: £80 per young person

Spaces: limited to 10 young people

The second outdoorsy residential is happening on the first weekend in August (2nd to the 4th) The plan atm is to head to PGL Liddington, for an action packed weekend with more activities than you can shake a stick at! Crate stacking, High ropes course, Raft building, Archery... they have it all.

We'll be travelling and staying with some other youth centres too (Made For Ever, Hanham, Bitton) so they'll be lots of opportunities to get chatting to new people.

PGL are really well set up with dorm style rooms and a fully catered dining room, so no roughing it on this one!

Date: 2nd to the 4th August

Cost: Free

Spaces: limited to 5 young people

Space on the skate residential will be on a first come first served basis, so check the dates, make sure you can come, and then a parent or guardian to fill in that consent form! Paper forms will be available at The Boarding School to pick up irl.

Space on the PGL residential will be done slightly differently. As the spots are so limited, we think it'd be best for a single friendship group gets to attend. Let us know if you want to go, are available on that first weekend in August and then we may choose a group at random to make it as fair as possible.
